Zone A – Premium: Parking included (circle drive). Tent, tables & chairs. Closest to the stadium. (Game Tickets Not Included)
Zones B & C – Standard: Tent, tables & chairs. Parking sold separately. (Game Tickets Not Included)
Zone D – BYOT: Reserve a spot to bring your own setup. Let us know if you need tables and chairs. (Game Tickets Not Included)

Season Tailgate Pass
Take your game day experience to the next level with our Tailgate Season Pass. Enjoy a Blue Lot parking pass for all six home games, plus an upgrade from a Standard Tailgate Package to a Premium Circle Drive location directly in front of the main entrance. It’s the perfect choice for dedicated fans or businesses looking to provide an unforgettable entertainment experience for clients, employees, or guests throughout the season.
Tailgating Rules & Requirements
Tailgating at DATCU Stadium is a great tradition — and keeping it fun means following the guidelines UNT sets each season. Below is a quick overview of the key points. These rules are established and updated annually by UNT Athletics.
Booking Deadline
- All tailgating requests must be submitted and finalized by Friday one week prior to the game
Lost Items
- Please be sure to gather all personal items before leaving. 5 Star Rental will not be held responsible for belongings left at the tailgate after the game ends.
On The Hill
- Non-students: Driving on The Hill isn’t allowed. Equipment is picked up after the game once the pedestrian crowd has cleared.
- Students & student orgs: Reserve your spot through 5 Star Rental at least 5 days before the game. Setup is allowed the day before, mid-afternoon to early evening. Overnight camping or occupancy isn’t permitted.
- Official tailgating begins three hours before kickoff and must wrap up one hour after the game ends, or by sunset — whichever comes first. Evening games may shift these times.
- Keep music pointed away from neighboring areas and at a reasonable volume; it must be off when tailgating ends.
In the Parking Lot
- Don’t occupy empty parking spaces or block traffic flow.
- Tents and canopies are fine as long as they don’t impede foot or vehicle traffic or spill into other spaces.
- Spots are first-come, first-served. Saving spaces for other vehicles isn’t allowed.
- Glass containers and kegs are not permitted.
Tents and Setup
- Tents can’t block foot or vehicle traffic or extend into parking spaces, drive lanes, or sidewalks.
- In paved lots, ground stakes are prohibited to protect the surface — weights or sandbags are encouraged instead.
- In green-space areas, stakes must be no longer than 12 inches and no wider than half an inch to avoid underground utilities.
- Tents must allow an unobstructed view inside.
(Good news: as your rental provider, we handle compliant setup for you — our team knows these requirements.)
Alcohol
- Responsible, lawful consumption is permitted under Texas law. You must be 21+ to possess or consume alcohol, and be able to show ID on request.
- No kegs, drinking games, drinking-game paraphernalia, or glass containers. Beverages must be in cans, plastic bottles, or paper/plastic cups.
- Anyone serving alcohol is responsible for keeping it away from those under 21 and for arranging designated drivers.
Food Preperation
- Attend grills and cookers at all times. No ground fires or open fire-pit devices; a fire extinguisher is recommended for open-flame cooking.
- Standard food-safety basics apply: keep cold foods iced, don’t let food sit out too long, and keep hand sanitizer and towels handy.
Generators
- Permitted, but should have a spark-arrestor muffler and ideally a noise-reducing cover. Manage fuel, exhaust, and cords carefully.
Pets
- Allowed on a controlled leash, never left unattended or tied to university property. Clean up after your pet — owners are responsible for any damage or injury.
Golf Carts and Similar
- Not permitted in tailgating areas or the stadium unless authorized by event staff.
Trash & Recycle
- Every tailgater is responsible for cleanup. Douse hot coals and use the designated hot-coal receptacles. Never dump grease, coals, or hazardous material on the ground or into storm drains.
Safety & Enforcement
- UNT officials may refuse service or revoke tailgating privileges for inappropriate behavior. Students may also be referred to the Dean of Students for Code of Conduct violations.
- Emergencies: call 911. Non-emergencies: UNT Police at 940-565-3000.
- First-aid stations are on the east and west concourses inside the stadium.
Traffic Control
- Do not remove or move barricades, cones, signs or any other traffic control devices. Be courteous and respectful to all parking and event staff as they are here to assist and provide safety for you and your guests.
- Towing of vehicles without appropriate parking passes from reserved lots will begin at approximately 7:00 a.m. on game days.
Portable Restrooms
- Restrooms are accessible from outside the stadium on the east side of DATCU Stadium adjacent to Gate 4. Portable restrooms are located throughout the tailgating areas. Please ensure that tailgaters utilize these facilities and not the university grounds.
